The aim of this report is to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of ecotourism.
On the plus side, ecotourism brings people into direct contact with an environment where they can gain a greater appreciation of natural habitats as well as different types of cultural heritage.
On the negative side, if there are huge numbers of tourists involved it adds to environmental pollution and can damage local ecosystems.
In conclusion, ecotourism can bring about positive changes for both tourists and the communities involved but needs to ensure that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore, this report recommends a careful review of this type of tourism so that it really becomes beneficial to the local communities in addition to their environments.
