• subject + must + base form - Example: …She's studying all day; she must have an exam tomorrow.

UNCERTAINTY AND POSSIBILITY → something is possible but we are not sure

• subject + may / might / could + base form - Example: He's not answering; he may be in a meeting.
• subject + may / might + not + base form - Example: She's not at home; she might not have received the message.

We do NOT use could not or couldn't.
