- John: Yes, I did and I had a lot of fun.
- Ashley: What did you wear?
- John: I found a pair of pants and a shirt that my dad wore in the seventies.
- Ashley: That's a great idea. Did your dad's clothes fit you?
- John: My dad was slim when he was young, so they fit me perfectly. Why didn't you come to the party?
- Ashley: I wanted to come and I had some incredibly interesting things to wear: an old necklace, earrings that matched perfectly, a beautiful belt, and a purse in the same color. But I couldn't make it in the end.
- John: Did you have an outfit to match them?
- Ashley: I had a skirt and a blouse that I could have matched with the jewelry. It was a real shame.
- John: That's true. So you didn't get to see the baseball team jacket that my uncle gave me to wear with my dad's pants. Parents and relatives can be surprisingly helpful.
