- Full Stop: At the end of a declarative sentence: "She went to the store."

- Semicolon: To connect closely related independent clauses: "She likes coffee; he prefers tea."
- Colon: Before a list or explanation: "Please bring the following items: pen, paper, and a notebook." ; In time expressions: "The meeting is at 3:00."
- Question Mark: At the end of an interrogative sentence: "Did you finish your homework?"
- Exclamation Mark: To express strong emotion or surprise: "What a beautiful sunset!"
