When you do a dangerous sport like skiing or horse riding, you must have the correct equipment. You mustn't do these sports without a helmet, for example. A fall can be very serious if you aren't wearing one. Some parents buy bank protection for their children when they go horse riding. Boots are also very important. Your ski boots must fit correctly. If you are on a horse, you don't have to wear long boots, short boots are OK. But you mustn't wear sandals or open shoes. It's also very important to protect your hands, so look for good gloves when you do certain sports.
