Bath is the ideal place to visit on a day trip because it is very close to London. It is a lovely place. The city centre is very small, so it will only take you less than one day to visit most of it. I suggest visiting it on foot. The town is very busy, but it has some very beautiful architecture. For visitors, a walk along the river is a must.
