- Repair instead of replacing: Instead of discarding items when they break or malfunction, consider repairing them. This applies to electronics, clothing, furniture, and appliances.
- Buy secondhand: Opt for purchasing used items instead of new ones whenever possible. This reduces the demand for new products and extends the lifespan of existing goods.
- Use reusable alternatives: Replace single-use items with reusable alternatives. For example, use reusable shopping bags, water bottles, coffee cups, and utensils instead of disposable ones.
- Compost organic waste: Instead of throwing food waste in the dustbin, compost it. Composting organic matter like fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, and eggshells creates nutrient-rich soil for gardening and reduces methane emissions from landfills.
- Donate or repurpose: Rather than throwing away unwanted items, donate them to charity or find creative ways to repurpose them. Clothing, books, furniture, and household items can often find new life with someone else.

- Educate others: Spread awareness about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling within your community. Organize workshops, events, or educational campaigns to inspire others to adopt more environmentally friendly habits.
